I was waxing nostalgic today.
Any one remember this one?
For the want of a nail, the shoe was lost.
For the want of a shoe, the rider was lost.
For the want of a rider, the battle was lost.
For the want of a battle, the kingdom was lost.
All for the want of a horseshoe nail.
Haven't heard that one in a looooonnnnngggg time!
ReplyDeleteJeanne,
ReplyDeleteYou're the only other person I've found who's heard this!
Love this...Madeleine L'Engle referenced it in A Wind in the Door and it's stayed with me ever since. I think it's why I worry about Glenn Beck so much. :D
